Change in rule for Matric 9th Annual, 2008:
The Controlling Authority of the Boards of Intermediate & Secondary Education in Punjab has
been pleased to defer the ban on the private students to appear in science and other practical
subjects in the Secondary School Certificate (Part-I) Examination for further one year, allowing
them to appear in Secondary School Certificate (Part-I) Examination, 2008 and (Part-II)
Examination 2009 under part wise examination system.

Change in rule for Shahadat-ul-Saanviat-ul-Aama Passed Candidates:
Students who have passed the Examination of Shahadat-ul-Saanviat-ul-Aama from any registered
institute (Deeni Madaras) upto 2007 will have to pass only following subjects i.e. Urdu, English
and Pakistan Studies in one attempt according to old scheme to get Matric equivalent certificate.

Amendment in Marks Improvement Rules at Intermediate level:
Candidates who appeared up to 2007 can appear according to the previous policy
i.e. old pattern as well as marks/grade impovement with in two years.

Extra Fee after expiring triple fee schedule:
It is hereby notified for information of all concerned that the Board in its meeting vide
item No. 24 dated 31-Dec-07 has approved to charge extra fee of Rs. 500/- per day
after the date of receipt of admission forms with triple fee from such candidates
upto 10 days before the commencement of Examiation.

Information for Paper Marking Staff:
In case of mistake by the Head-Examiner, Sub-Examiner, Assistant to Head-Examiner,
Special Checker and Random Checker a sum of Rs. 10/- instead of Rs. 5/-
per mistake shall be deducted from their payment to improve the statndard of marking.

Amendment in rule for Intermediate Part-I & Part-II Examinations
The condition of qualifying subjects carrying at least 300 marks in Part-I
Examination at Intermediate level is waived off and final result (Pass or Fail) in
a subject will be determined on the basis of total marks obtained by a candidate in
that subjct in Part-I & II Examinations obtains less than 33% marks
in a given subject/s and desires to re-appear/repeat the subjects/s along with
Part-II, he/she will be allowed to do so.
